AN UNREASONABLE BOOK

Here are two reviews of Joseph Weizenbaum Computer Power and Human Reason. The first was in a Stanford Report and is available in .html, .dvi and .ps versions.

The second is shorter appeared in Physics Today and is also available in .html, .dvi and .ps versions. On reading them, I like this one better, and I'm only sorry I didn't criticize the physicist Victor Weisskopf for praising the book on the jacket and calling Weizenbaum an outstanding computer scientist. He can't have agreed with the anti-science rhetoric I quote in the review.
